I graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design. After completing my Foundation year, I chose not to confine my practice to a single discipline. Instead, through a combination of required courses and electives, I explored and worked across printmaking, photography, painting, and graphic design.

For me, these mediums are not separate or isolated fields. They are different ways of seeing, thinking, and communicating. Photography allows me to observe time, relationships, and fleeting moments within everyday reality. Printmaking has taught me to pay attention to traces, repetition, materiality, and the physical process of making. Painting enables me to engage more intuitively with colour, form, and pictorial space, while graphic design has trained me to consider visual structure, the communication of information, and the relationship between an image and its audience.

I do not see art simply as the production of aesthetically pleasing objects. Art is a medium through which I connect with the world. The creative process allows me to observe reality, make sense of experience, and respond to life. Each work is a personal translation of the world around me and an expression of the particular way in which I see, feel, and understand it.

At present, I am also building and managing my own business ventures. Although entrepreneurship and art may appear to belong to different worlds, both bring me into direct contact with people and society, desire and consumption, value and exchange, as well as the uncertainty of everyday life. These experiences have not taken me away from art. Instead, they continue to expand the ways in which I observe and interpret the world.

Art remains an essential part of how I experience and value life. Regardless of where life takes me, I intend to continue creating, to remain open to working across different mediums, and to allow my practice to evolve alongside my experiences, surroundings, and ways of thinking.
